Pranav Kappal

Pranav Kappal is an Indian student currently studying in Japan, with a strong interest in personal growth, focus, and intentional living. His experiences of adapting to a new country, learning a new language, and pursuing disciplined creative practice have shaped his approach to self-improvement.
Pranav holds JLPT N3 proficiency in Japanese and is a Grade 8 percussionist from Trinity College London. Beyond academics and music, he is deeply passionate about Deep Work—the practice of giving undivided attention to meaningful tasks in a world increasingly designed to fragment it.
His approach is straightforward and practical. Rather than relying on temporary motivation or complicated productivity systems, Pranav focuses on discipline, intentional action, and habits that create lasting change.

Through Shiawase, he challenges readers to take back control of their attention, reduce the influence of modern distractions, and build a more focused and purposeful life.
"Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth." — Marcus Aurelius
We live in a world of "rapid flickering," conditioned by devices and algorithms to escape discomfort and ignore the present moment. Every time we break a promise to ourselves, we lose a piece of our self-trust, slowly chipping away at our mental well-being. How do we stop this cycle?

Shiawase (the Japanese word for happiness) invites you on a profound journey of self-reflection and behavioural change. By blending ancient Stoic philosophy with actionable modern practices, Pranav Kappal challenges you to expand your comfort zone, master your perception, and align your daily habits with your ultimate purpose. It is time to step out of the crowd, silence the voice of fear, and experience the deep, enduring fulfilment that comes from knowing you are on the right path.
