Tushar Ranjan is an industry professional with experience in Intelligent Traffic Management Systems (ITMS) and urban mobility, bringing a practical, industry-driven perspective to the evolving relationship between technology, road safety, and public infrastructure.

His professional journey has been shaped by hands-on exposure to traffic technologies, product solutions, implementation environments, and stakeholder engagement. Rather than approaching intelligent mobility solely from an academic or engineering perspective, he draws on industry experience and product knowledge to understand how technology functions in real-world traffic ecosystems.

His areas of exposure include AI-enabled traffic management, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), automated enforcement, intelligent traffic signals, video analytics, e-challan systems, surveillance technologies, and integrated command and control centres. This experience has shaped his understanding of both the opportunities offered by intelligent systems and the practical challenges involved in their effective implementation.

In Signals of Change, Tushar examines India's evolving traffic landscape and challenges the assumption that technology alone can deliver safer roads. He explores the interconnected roles of human behaviour, road-user education, effective enforcement, infrastructure planning, governance, institutional accountability, and public trust in creating meaningful and sustainable improvements in road safety.

His perspective is grounded in a simple but essential principle: understand the product, understand the problem, and understand the environment in which the solution must work. Through this approach, he presents Intelligent Traffic Management not merely as a technological advancement, but as a broader ecosystem in which people, policies, institutions, and technology must work together.

Through Signals of Change, Tushar aims to encourage a shift in thinking—from simply deploying smarter traffic technologies to building a smarter, safer, and more accountable traffic ecosystem for India.

His central belief remains clear: smarter roads require more than smarter technology; they require a smarter ecosystem built around it.
